The boat was designed by Niels Jeppesen and built by Nordsø Bådeværft, now X-Yachts in Haderslev in the period 1979 to 1995. It's normally crewed by five people, although two experienced sailors can easily handle it.
Exocet - the boat owned by DTU Sailing was built in 1986 and has sail number DEN 348.
